Nepali School

My family is from a small country in Asia called Nepal. Four years after they moved to the USA, I was born. When I was five, I visited Nepal but I didn’t know the language as much as I do now, so I really wanted to learn more. A few years after we came back my parents saw that there was a Nepali school opening so they put me in. Because of that I can do so much more than I could before. I have been in Nepali school for two and a half years, and I think it can really make an impact on our community. They teach us about the culture so we can pass it down to our kids when we are grown up. This is important because the Nepali community can grow stronger and bolder. It can make sure no one in America forgets their Nepali roots.

My parents always taught me that if I am willing to learn I can do anything. They have also taught me lots about the culture so when I am older I will be willing to make an impact for my country.

Nepal is small and after the natural disasters that hit it it does not have much. But teaching us about the wonderful features about Nepal like Mount Everest and the pretty clothing can push us to tell others about it so they are encouraged to visit.

I want to go to Nepal when I am older and help the less fortunate. I can also gather supplies for them to build houses and other buildings. When I was younger I even wanted to make a bridge that connects America with Nepal, but I now know that that isn’t very possible.

Because of everything I learned at Nepali school, I want a better future for Nepal, just like all the other students. Such a small thing is making a big impact. I would like people who are not Nepali to visit the beautiful country so they can see how wonderful it is as well. It itself is a small country but has very big potential. I may be small myself, but I have big dreams for the future.
